Overview

Fog of Love is a romantic comedy as a board game for two players, by Jacob Jaskov (Hush Hush Projects, 2017; Floodgate Games edition).

You create two fictional characters who meet, fall in love and face the ups and downs of a relationship: meeting the in-laws, awkward situations, parties, thoughtful gifts, secret affairs, kids, arguments and reconciliations. In each scene, you weigh what is best for you against what is best for the relationship.

You gain satisfaction (♥) and personality tokens, your traits may change, and in the end you decide your destiny: stay together or break up. Each of you may fulfill it… or not.

2 1 to 2 h (90 to 120 min for the tutorial game)
Goal

Fulfill your character's chosen final destiny, by playing scenes and fulfilling your trait goals.

Victory

  • ✓ Fulfill your character's final destiny: each destiny sets its conditions (satisfaction, personality token balance, staying or breaking up).
  • ✓ Both characters may end happy, only one, or neither.

Defeat

  • ✕ Not meeting your final destiny's conditions at the Finale.
